Reach your goals through authentic partnership.
1:1 EXECUTIVE & LEADERSHIP COACHINGCoaching supports both new and seasoned leaders to navigate the complexitites of leading teams or entire organisations.
As a unique and bespoke strategic partnership, coaching helps leaders see their blind spots through a process of reflection, discovery, and challenge. Leaders are enabled to understand individual strengths, supported to action areas to strengthen, and to align who they are with how they lead. This results in stronger, sustainable individual leadership, high-performing teams, and long-term organisational success.

WHY COACHING WORKSCoaching activates thinking. Advice doesn't.
Results
Some clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, unsure or at a crossroads, second guessing decisions and judgements they'd usually trust without question. Others want to get to the next level of growth for themselves, their careers or their business.
Coaching gives leaders the clarity, confidence, strategic thinking and practical advice to move forward with impact. Clients often describe coaching as transformational; regarding both individual leadership and organisational results.
Focus areas that leaders often work on:
Leadership through complexity, change and transition
Aligning and building high performing, innovative teams
Self trust, confidence and moving beyond imposter beliefs
Strategic clarity and stronger, faster decision making
Influence with senior stakeholders and boards
Navigating difficult conversations with confidence
Leadership through complexity, change and transition
Strengthened growth and commercial decisions
Progression into more senior, C-suite or board roles
Visibility and positioning at a senior level.
Advice is abundant. Time to examine thoughts - with someone who'll objectively push back and ensure you’ll meet your goals - far less so.
Coaching is a strategic partnership that creates space for reflection, challenge and growth. It is a personalised, confidential, co-designed development journey that helps leaders improve effectiveness, navigate complexity, and achieve meaningful professional impact.
I work with leaders to distil meaningful, results-orientated goals, identify blind spots, test doubts, and identify values pulling in conflicting directions. We use these insights to examine patterns and plan actions that have measurable impact.
Leaders can be in a difficult position when seeking support internally. Working with an external coach provides an objective view on specific challenges and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
COACHING PERSPECTIVE & APPROACHSystems perspective = lasting change.
Taking a systems perspective means work at three levels.
You; your interactions with the people around you; and the reciprocal influence between you and the organisational and macro systems we operate in. Change that is contextualised lasts.
The Māori principle of whānau - people connected, moving together towards a shared purpose - underpins how I understand leadership: it grows in relationship with the people around us.
Bespoke to every client, I use a broad range of integrated frameworks and evidence-informed models, including Narrative Identity, Possible Selves, the Enneagram, and Social Styles.
‘Fay knows the lived reality of being a CEO - though what I really, really value is how relentlessly focused and genuinely invested she is in my success.’

Common questions.
Will we be a good fit?
Yes, if you want a genuine partnership. If you value candour, action-orientation and if you’re happy being uncomfortable and supported. I’m likely not the right coach if your preference is someone who will mostly listen and not ask questions you’ve been avoiding.
Why a coach who’s been a CEO?
I know the perpetual balance. The weight and enjoyement of the role. Even with an incredible peer network, until I found a coach, I also knew the unique solitude. I’ve been responsible for 1,100 people and accountable to the UK parliament. There’s no need to explain the pressure, we start straight off working on your goals.
Who should work with an executive coach?
Executive coaching is available for leaders of all experience levels, including those at C-suite or executive level, as well as upper to mid management. There is no specific experience level required for executive coaching, however it is uniquely tailored for those in positions of leadership.
This type of coaching can be used by leaders seeking advice in existing roles, navigating the first few months of a new role, or leaders wanting support with a challenging organisational environment. Coaching supports leaders to grow, and to effectively manage unfolding workplace changes.
How do I choose a coach?
Look for three things. First, real senior experience, so they understand your world - this doesn’t need to be the same industry, more the same level of responsibility. Second, a recognised credential (ICF or EMCC), so you know the coaching practice is rigorous. I’ve been CEO twice, I am an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC), have an Exec. MBA, and an MSc in Executive Coaching & Organisational Consulting. Third, it’s important to find a coach with an approach and style that meets your needs. An effective coach brings a bespoke approach, often using assessments and goal-setting frameworks during sessions.
No. Who you are as a leader and who you are as a person aren't separate. We'll go where the work needs to go. I coach the whole person. Leadership identity is personal as well as professional; each session focuses on what matters most to you at that time.
Do you only coach leadership?
Coaching is present and future-focused. This is a key differentiator compared with therapy or counselling. While coaching conversations can encompass mindset, emotions or personal experiences, the focus remains firmly on the present and future to help leaders improve and reach their personal and professional goals. coaches use structured questioning and reflection to help individuals along the path of developing their own insights into their current situation. Coaching creates powerful breakthroughs from the process of reflection, accountability and applied learning.
